The future of design is designing for accessibility! This session will present basic ways to enhance your social media, videos, website, and other materials so that people with disabilities and others won’t miss out on your messaging. We’ll discuss and demonstrate how to use captions, audio descriptions, alt text and more. You're invited to follow along!

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the term Universal Design and describe how people with disabilities and others benefit from accessible design in social media, websites, and communications.
  • Identify common pitfalls that impede access and possible solutions such as captions, alt text, audio descriptions and more.
  • Refer to several websites, tools, apps, and tip sheets that provide website and social media accessibility guidance and services.
