Elizabeth MacGonagle is an African historian in the Departments of History and African & African American Studies at the University of Kansas. From 2013-2021, she was the Director of the Kansas African Studies Center, one of ten federally-funded National Resource Centers for African Studies in the US. She has co-directed short-term, faculty-led study abroad programs to Tanzania and Brazil.
