Dr. Amy Roberts is an Associate Professor at the University of Wyoming. She holds a graduate degree in Intercultural Communication and Applied Linguistics from Portland State University, and a Ph.D. in Education from Indiana University. Dr. Roberts' research is centered on international comparative education, aligning with the principles of globalization and the internationalization of academic communities across the globe. With a rich career spanning numerous countries, Dr. Roberts has dedicated many years to teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and later transitioned to academia, working with diverse populations of children and adults in South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Burma, Iran, Taiwan, the Arabian Peninsula, Central and South America, Angola, India, Russia, and the United States. Her work is characterized by a commitment to creating innovative courses and projects that enable students to explore global events and contemporary challenges. Throughout her career, Dr. Roberts has lived, taught, and conducted extensive field research in various countries, including Myanmar, Thailand, Taiwan, Spain, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and the United States. Her recent accomplishments include completing an 11-month fellowship with the US State Department, followed by an 11-month Fulbright Scholar award at the Mandalay University Department of English in Mandalay, Myanmar. Dr. Roberts continues to contribute to the field of education by fostering international understanding and cooperation through her teaching and research.
