Mary Kavila is the Assistant Director of International Admissions at the University of Utah. She has led the international Admissions processing team, I-20, and the pathway program for the University for one year.
Prior to her current role, she held a key position at the Utah system of Higher Education for 6 years, where she managed federal student loans. She worked tirelessly to advocate for students and provide them with resources to pursue their educational goals.
Mary holds a MA from Austin Seminary and a Master of Theology from Emory University. She is a tireless advocate for Equity, access, and inclusivity. She is engaged in community outreach programs, volunteers at local organizations, and participates in initiatives aimed at promoting social justice. Mary firmly believes that everyone deserves equal opportunities and a voice in the society.
Mary is the recipient of Recipient of Outstanding Mentor Award for Distinguished and Exemplary Service to Students Faculty and Staff, 2023 from Utah Association of Collegiate Registrar’s and Admission officers.
