Presentation Description:

In this interactive session, you will hear strategies for igniting partnerships and leveraging resources to expand study abroad participation on your campus. Topics explored will include working with administration, admissions, financial aid and other departments to expand study abroad, funding mechanisms, advocating for your office with institutional leadership, and tailored strategies to support and promote study abroad for underrepresented populations and support degree completion. Come ready to participate and share your ideas in this 75 minute session!

Learning Objectives:

This session will equip attendees with resources and real examples to promote collaboration with various stakeholders on their campuses, such as administration, admissions, financial aid, career services, and veteran services.
Attendees will learn strategies focused on reaching students with high financial need, first-generation students, men, STEM, and other underrepresented students in education abroad.
Attendees will learn strategies for advocating for resources with institutional leadership and ways to obtain external funding and opportunities for the campus. If given 75 minutes we will expand this.
