Presentation Description:

Domestic students who have done high school or college outside of the US, but then want to apply for a US university, usually face many questions and obstacles that other traditional domestic students or international students do not face. For one reason or another, international admissions professionals can find themselves assisting these “Domestic Internationals”, a population that finds themselves in an overlooked gray area. We will discuss the differences and similarities that these students share with the other student types and how to advise them.

After our presentation, attendees will be able to understand why better assisting these students can increase yield on both the domestic and international end and increase our global footprint
During our presentation attendees will discuss how their institutions advise these students
After our presentation, attendees will be able to better advocate for this population of students
