Presentation Description: After 34 years, India announced it new National Education Policy (NEP) which has begun to be implemented. This policy marks a major shift away from the Anglophone system. Secondary education will be modified to a 5+3+3+4 year system. Pre-school will be bought into the official stream. Post secondary education changes with multiple entry and exit options along with an overhaul of the curriculum. The Master's program will become a 1+1 year path. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) regulatory bodies will be merged.
