Presentation Description:

Crafting is a practice that enhances satisfaction on cognitive, social & physical levels (Lin et al. 2023; Sandberg et al. 2024). Experience crafting (EC) is a powerful skill to foster in students, and a tool for enhancing experience as professionals, & post-experience satisfaction.

We will define EC and its benefits, share case study examples of people who have EC'd their jobs in education, their travel experience(s), their study abroad experience(s), their project-based and internship experiences, & their professional and personal lives. Finally, we will engage you in EC.

Learning Objectives:

After our presentation, attendees will be equipped to engage their students in experience crafting their planned and lived international education experiences.
During our presentation, attendees will develop the language and rudimentary skills for experience crafting.
After our presentation, attendees will be equipped to share the value of experience crafting for social, cognitive and even physical development in international travelers/scholars.
